St Agnes boasts world class surfing at 4 blue flag beaches, with lessons available at local Surf schools. Also Coasteering & SUPing, with an abundance of great places to wild swim.

There is direct access to the South West Coast Path from two campsites in St Agnes. The South West Coast Path is famous for it’s spectacular coastline & engine houses, often seen in Poldark. St Agnes is a truly unspoilt spot on the north Cornish coast & sits in both a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Famous destinations of Newquay (12 miles), St Ives (20 miles), Truro (8 miles). Falmouth (15 miles) to name a few, are quickly reached from St Agnes.
ST AGNES FOOD & DRINK
There's a fantastic range of options for eating out in and around St Agnes. There's plenty of local produce on offer, and lots of places where kids, and dogs are welcomed.
Some places we love...
Schooners – beach front bar and restaurant serving big flavour pizza, craft ales, beers and wine. Amazing views, highly recommended.
The Cornish Pizza Company - dough made daily, hand-stretched to order and cooked with freshly made tomato sauce and awesome locally sourced toppings.
Driftwood Spars - traditional and award-winning real ale pub, comfortable & welcoming good fish and chips! Also has a small microbrewery selling craft ale.
Genki – a beach hut with beautiful chilled Japanese inspired gardens, offering a variety of healthy food and drinks including freshly ground coffee, smoothies, homemade soup and cakes, paninis, amazing crab sandwiches, fresh salads, tapas, beers and cocktails.

The Tap House - provides a laid back casual dining experience. Surf inspired interior, fresh sea food, local meats and Cornish produce. Massive gin selection. Good wine. Evening bands and DJ's.
WALKING & HERITAGE
With over 70 footpaths and bridleways, direct access to the South West Coast Path, and sitting in a designated ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’, St Agnes is a haven for walkers of all ages and abilities. Paths are well marked and maintained, and whether you fancy a coastal stomp, a gentle amble from pub to pub, or a cross-country ramble, there’s something for you.
BEACHES
There are four great beaches to enjoy in or near St. Agnes. They offer something for everyone, whether you fancy rock-pooling with the kids, relaxing all day on soft, golden sand, or taking to the water for a surf or kayak: Trevaunance Cove, Trevellas Porth, Porthtowan beach, Chapel Porth Beach.
CYCLING
WILD SWIMMING
In Cornwall we are lucky to have an abundance of great places to wild swim, or open water swim. If you’re not one for swimming in our Cornish seas then the next best thing is a sea pool for a sea water swimming experience. Close to us in St Agnes is Chapel Rock Tidal Pool at Perranporth. The pool is situated among the rockpools on the far side of the iconic Chapel Rock. The pool is replenished with sea water twice a day, the remainder of the time the pool is nicely warmed by the sun providing another good reason to have a dip here. Also Porthtowan Tidal Pool, nestled away amongst the cliffs and caves to the north Porthtowan's main beach this little spot is only accessible at low tide. A great spot to dip, relax & watch the surfers.

On the south coast Swanpool is a great spot for those new to wild swimming, Swanpool is sheltered, family-friendly cove with tranquil clear blue waters. Also Grebe Beach on the Helford River, where the water is calm thanks to its location on the Helford river & it is usually warmer because of this.

St Agnes is surrounded by miles of breathtaking scenery, perfect for a day of cycling. Whether it’s challenging inclines and winding descents to secluded beaches, or a gentle potter through local country lanes, there is plenty on offer to cyclists of all ages and abilities. It is also just 4 miles north of the popular Coast to Coast trail, which makes it a popular destination for young cyclists, and families who enjoy life on two wheels. Aggie Cycles offer bike hire, tours and pick up/drop off to various campsites in the St Agnes area.
SURFING & KAYAKING
Or if you like your outdoor experiences to be wild, wet and exhilarating you can try Coasteering or take a guided kayaking trip. Surf lessons and SUP hire are also available at the local beach.
