St Agnes food & drink
There's a fantastic range of options for eating out in & around St Agnes. There's plenty of Cornish produce on offer, & lots of places where kids, & dogs are welcomed. We also have a thriving village with amazing shops selling the best local treats. Some places we love...
Schooners – beach front bar & restaurant serving big flavour small plates, tacos, craft ales, beers, cocktails & wine. Amazing views of the cove, highly recommended.
The Cornish Pizza Company - (takeaway) pizza made daily, hand-stretched to order & cooked with freshly made tomato sauce and awesome locally sourced toppings. Our favourite is the Wheal Alfred (V).
Driftwood Spars - traditional & award-winning real ale pub, comfortable & welcoming, three cosy bars decorated with beams salvaged from shipwrecks. Good fish & chips. Also has a small microbrewery selling craft ale. Very family & dog friendly.
Genki – a beach hut with beautiful chilled Japanese inspired gardens, offering a variety of healthy food & drinks including freshly ground Yallah coffee, smoothies, smoothie bowls, homemade soup & cakes, paninis, amazing crab sandwiches, fresh salads, beers & cocktails.
The Tap House - provides a laid back casual dining experience, lunch & dinner. Surf inspired interior, pizzas, steaks, pastas, flatbreads, nachos, fresh seafood, local meats & Cornish produce. Massive gin selection, cocktails. Good wine. Evening bands and DJ's. Family friendly early sitting from 6pm. We like the Beef Rendang!
The Peterville Inn - Traditional pub in a central position just 10 minutes walk from the beautiful Trevaunance Cove. Modern pub dining experience, very best local, seasonally available ingredients, great drinks & a warm Cornish atmosphere. A welcoming bar, a cosy restaurant as well as brand new outdoor decked seating with pyramid heaters.
The Sorting Office - Originally St Agnes' very own beloved Post Office, dating back to 1902, a delightful historical building is now a popular and characterful Coffee House. Wonderful décor & welcoming atmosphere. Artisan coffee, fresh out-of-the oven pastries, bagels, mouth-watering cakes & smoothies.
Greenroom Cafe - The Greenroom is a family friendly cafe open all year round serving breakfast, brunch & lunch. Also plenty of treats like ice cream, cakes & specials. Nice outside eating area.
Local Grocery Shops, St Agnes
Carr Butchers, St Agnes village - Traditional family butcher specialising in delicious local Cornish meat & cheese. They make their own sausages & burgers, all brilliant for a BBQ. Great service & real, natural food at a great price.
Churchtown Fruit & Veg, St Agnes village - Traditional Fruit & Veg shop, & so much more. Fab range of store cupboard items, lots of wholefoods & specialist items. Vegan friendly, fabulous staff!
Trunk Deli, St Agnes village - A beautiful deli selling fresh bread, sourdough, coffee, cheese, meats, artisan products, flowers & gifts.
J Earl Seafood - Amazing local fishmongers. Local, fresher than fresh fish. Run from a private residence on the way down to Chapel Porth Beach. Part of it's charm is it's slightly ramshackle appearance & ad hoc opening hours. Usually Thursday - Sunday, depending on the weather & catch. Fresh lobsters, crab, mussels & sea bass are our summer favourites.
St Agnes Bakery - Baking traditional Cornish recipes everyday from scratch for over 100 years. Excellent Cornish pasties & scones!
