Glamping FAQ'S

Why are we glamping?!

Accommodation in the village and nearby can be a bit tricky (and very expensive) due to most places having 1-week minimum booking for the summer tourist season. We’ve therefore gone back to Emily’s scouting days and thought the best way to ensure we can relax and celebrate with our favourite people (without worrying about taxis or long drives) would be to offer glamping right on site!

Are all the guests camping?

No, unfortunately we only have enough flat field space for tents for a small group of our friends and family. This means you’ve been selected to be part of the exclusive camping squad! If you don’t fancy glamping then please do just let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your space to someone else.

How can we get ready in a tent?

Don’t worry, we’ve put lots of thought into this! We have organised for there to be nice toilet facilities (not just a green portaloo!) and hot water showers available. There will also be a space for getting ready before the wedding with mirrors, a place to hang up suits/dresses and plug sockets for any hairdryers/other devices you’d like to bring.

Where can we park?

There will not be space to park right next to the camping area, but you will be able to drop off bags at the bottom of the drive. There is a car park in the village that can be used for parking, and there will also be parking in a nearby field - more details will be on the wedding website nearer the time.

What about food and drinks over the weekend?

There will be access to drinking water/teas/coffees/snacks by the camping area. The local pub, The Kings Arms (less than 5 minutes walk away) will be open for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.

What if it rains?

Whilst we have everything crossed for sunshine over the weekend, we’re making sure we’ll be prepared for rain. Please make sure you bring wellies/trainers and raincoats!

I have so many more questions, who should I ask?

Please just drop Emily or Tom a WhatsApp and we should be able to help!
